Messianic Leaders on Christ at the Checkpoint and Palestinian Liberation Theology - Thanks Richard Harvey.

By Jacob Prasch

As was not unexpected, the Israeli and Jewish media has picked up on "Messianic Jewish Leaders" joining forces with anti zionists cum anti Semites at the biased and distorted "Christ at the The Checkpoint" conference.

At this conference the fact that Israel has the best human rights record, the best women's rights record, and the best Christian Rights record in The Middle East will be virtually overlooked most assuredly.

The brutal plight of Arab and other Middle Eastern Chrtistians fromEgypt, to Iran, to Saudi Arabia and the worse plight of Evangelicals suffering for the Name of Christ will be likewise overlooked with attention focused on Israel instead in order to divert Christian attention away from the genocidal dilemma faced by the Body of Christ in The Middle East.

Israel's absorption of thousands of Lebanese Christians driven out of their homes by Hizbollah in Lebannon and Israel's absorption of tens of thousands of Moslem refugees from Darfur denied asylum by Islamic countries will also be ignored as one liar and Jew hating bigot after another takes turns attempting to turn anti Zionism into a Christian cause.

Above all we may rest absolutely assured that none of the pro Zionist Arab Christian voices such as Joseph Farra, Brigette Gabrielle, Walid Shoebat, or Kamal Saleem will be heard and neither will the voices of former Moslems turned to Christ such as Dr. Patrick Sookedho appealing for the rights of the Christians being persecuted in The Middle East be heard.

It is easier to kick Israel than to deal with the real issue.

We have seen supposed Evangelicals from Stephen Sizer, who is a slandering liar (which I can prove in court if he wishes to sue me in the USA where this statement will be web served from on USA website protected under the First Amendment) to the bible smuggler turned hypocrite Brother Andrew and the wife of the deceiver Bill Hybels who had a moslem cleric preaching in his church in Chicago all party to this hideous charade.

Now we have supposed Messianic Jewish participation. Richard Harvey, who has been described as a "liberal Evangelical" who has twice addressed Sizer's church among them. Over the years I have watched Richard Harvey compromise with everyone from theological liberals such as Ron Lewis to de facto anti Semites. Now the Jewish community knows it.

The damage being done to our witness and testimony for Yeshua to Israel and The Jewish people is obvious. Richard Harvey has no witness and no testimony to Israel or The Jews and I publicly denounce his shameful actions as reprehensible.

It is my conviction that the Messianic community and the cause of Jewish evangelism should disassociate from this traitor to his people and to the persecuted Body of Christ crying out for help while facing massacre at the hands of radical Islam while Richard Harvey does his phony religious theocratic two step with the enemies of Israel.

Neither I nor our ministry Moriel agree with all of the policies of The Israeli government towards Arabs or towards Christians, but we thank God at least one country in The Middle East, Israel, guarantees their human rights despite the warped demands of some ultra orthodox Jewish organisations to curtail them.

We also affirm our belief in the clear and unambiguous teaching of Jesus that The Jews must return to Israel & Jerusalem to set the stage for His return (Luke 21:24, Matthew 23: 37-39, Zecheriah 12: 1-10).

A man with the intellect and ability of Jacob Prasch should find something better to do with his spare time other than to attack those that he personally feels some form of hostility towards? If it were I that he was attacking and I felt that what he was saying was unwarranted, then there would certainly be no reason at all for my wanting to hold back from coming forth and defending myself if I felt that was the most appropriate course of action given the circumstances. Accordingly, does Richard Harvey (and the others mentioned) know what is being splurged all over the Internet relative to their personages by Jacob Prasch, and if they do not know then there should be someone that should tell them, as what is going on here with Mr. Prasch through his comments is totally unchristian of that fact there is no surer reality.

So was Jesus wrong to publicly speak out against false teachers and those who compromised the truth? Were the prophets, the apostles, Wesley, Whitefield, Spurgeon, Huss, and so many others? Should we then just shut up when we see compromise and watering down of the word of God.
GOD FORBID!

Anonymous,
I am not a fully paid up member of Jacob's fan club.
However I emphatically endorse Bob's reply
to your comment.

I'm not sure Richard Harvey is doing the right thing here.

HOWEVER, I agree wih "anonymous" - Jacob Prasch's language is horrible and unchristian. By all means disagree with Harvey, strongly if that's how you feel, but do so in a way that demonstrates the Holy Spirit is living in you. I'm truly shocked that any Christian can write like Jacob Prasch.

Brother Bob; Oh, so now you are comparing Jacob Prasch to Jesus, the prophets, the apostles, Wesley, Whitefield, Spurgeon, Huss, and so many others. Notwithstanding what you seem to believe is a reality, there is nothing that I can see in either the character or the makeup of Prasch whereby anyone could draw any comparison to any of those names mentioned above. In some senses, you are right though because all that this man is on is nothing much more than one big ego trip as he thinks that by denigrating others he can uplift himself in the eyes of the Lord, when exactly the opposite is applicable. Earn your own living, go about your daily activities and mind your own business that is all that anyone expects of us as Christians. If there is anyone who has chosen to water down the word of God, why are there those busy bodies out there, who think it is their God given right to come forth and slag other Christians and groups off, when at the end of the day it is nothing to do with the likes of him at all. That is not to say that if Prasch, and others like him, do not repent and come to their senses there is going to come the day when he is going to have to answer for their numerous and uncountable iniquities. Be blessed

Does that statement have anything at all to do with the general feeling of resentment and bitterness that you quite clearly must be feeling over the unjust and unfair treatment you quite clearly believe you were afforded at the hands of Revelation T.V? In that instance of your departure from Revelation TV you did what you thought was in the best interests of what the word of God was telling you to do. However, that has nothing whatsoever to do with what Prasch is trying to achieve by deliberately setting out to attack and vilify others who do not agree with his particular viewpoint; which is not to say that there are numerous others who do not necessarily agree with what he has to say either. Perhaps that is his problem, and that is why he sets out to denigrate other ministries. That is why I say that he should keep his business to himself and leave others alone.

Actually I love everyone at Revelation tv. They are a great bunch of people. But I feel they have made a wrong decision in housing people like Jesse Du Plantis.
I feel no personal resentment against them so your assumption is completely wrong. But I can understand you may think that's how I feel. I don't. I simply think they are wrong on this point and I cannot be associated on a regular basis with a man I believe teaches what is wrong

With regard to the way Jacob writes about people: I believe he writes in the heat of the moment, I do not know. But having met him, had dinner with him, travelled a short distance in his car with him, and communicated with him regularly I found a Jacob a lot of people do not see. A man who has a deep deep love of the Lord Jesus and a huge concern and love for the church in these last days. A man who has risked his health to reach others with the message of the gospel and to warn others of the false teachers and leaders around us. I am not comparing him alongside those I mentioned earlier and saying he is equal to them. What I am saying is if the Lord Jesus and the Prophets and christian's through the ages stood against false teaching, heresy in their day why shouldn't we follow their example. Especially in these days when the prophesied apostasy is coming on at a pace. There are young believers out there who could fall pray to the loony, money orientated, false dreams, false healings, "I went to heaven in a cable car" brigade.
Tell me would Jesus have kept quiet and let them be fooled?
Would the prophets or the apostles? Would Spurgeon, Luther and so on? No! And are we in these days given a mandate to keep quiet or to protect the flock of God? To care for each other? To sound a warning? Jacob is no Luther of Spurgeon I am sure he'd be the ifirst to agree. But whatever his faults, which he agrees he has, He is warning. He is putting the trumpet to his mouth as a watchman.

Before we criticise too much let's ask Am I caring for and warning others obout the dangers around us? Or am I an armchair theologian?
A chocolate soldier of Jesus who melts when it gets to hot?

I'd sooner have a Jacob with his faults than anyone who says we must not point out false teachers to our brethren in these last days.
Be blessed.

Hi there Brother Bob; "Quote; Actually, I love everyone at Revelation tv. They are a great bunch of people. However, I feel they have made a wrong decision in housing people like Jesse Du Plantis. I feel no personal resentment against them so your assumption is completely wrong. Nevertheless, I can understand you may think that is how I feel. I do not. I simply think they are wrong on this point and I cannot be associated on a regular basis with a man I believe teaches what is wrong." end of quote. Those of us who have been following this blog for as long as I have would have already understood your stance towards Revelation TV and the rationale behind your decision to leave it, but thanks for that explanation once again anyway. What you had said concerning Jacob Prasch explains it all, he is your friend and as such, you feel some sort of attachment towards him because of this, which is fair enough. I have ever met him and as that is the case, I then cannot testify to his particular temperament. Nevertheless, even the very worst people on the planet have a nicer side to their natures. It is more than likely that even the associates of Hitler were able to see the better side of his nature as well. Therefore, there is then no reason at all to dispute what you have to say in his favour. However, as I have not met him, and more than likely never will, the only way that I am able to evaluate his sincerity or relationship with the Lord is through his writings. Accordingly, what I have found is someone who does not appear to be very gracious towards those he does not see in a favourable light. All that I would ask of Prasch is that he comes down from his high horse to show a little more compassion and understanding towards those he chooses to attack and vilify in the worst possible manner imaginable. Prasch is not acting in a manner that is Christian at all. That in turn then makes all of those who read his slanderous article to question if he is really is a Christian at all. If he is a Christian, by what or whose authority does he seem to believe that he has the God given right to set himself up as the judge, jury and executioner of those he sets out to defame and ridicule. Wasn't there even a time that he set out to speak ill of Barry Smith by saying that he was a good evangelist, but a bad theologian, so that only goes to show what his judgement of others is worth, zilch. I am going to lower myself to his standards with the name calling as to do so would make anyone who read the above to think that I was no better than what he is, but there are still a few names that I could think of that I could think of given the circumstance of his particular style. That is all that I am going to say on the subject matter of Prasch as he has inflamed my anger and passions a lot more than I should really give him credit for. Be Blessed

Dear Bob and Friends,
I was just wondering when being blunt means that your being unchristian? Jacob Prasch is straight to the point on his opinions, just because he doesn't kiss the blarney stone a couple of times,I don't see where he isn't a christian or doesn't love God.He doesn't curse or say I hate this person or that person in his messages.Israel does have the best record on human rights in the middle east, christians are being killed all the time and I don't know of any other nation besides Israel that people hate so much. The bible even talks of this about the last days,so why is he so wrong? He is straight to the point, where most people have the ablity to throw in some flattering words as not to offend but I still don't see where this means you are not a christian.I'm new to Jacob Prausch so I'm just curious to why people think he is not a christian? And as for Bob taking up for Jacob just because he is friends with him,I don't believe that about Bob at all and I was offend for Bob when that comment was made.I don't know Bob personally I just read his blogs but even I can see that Bob truly tries to live his life according to his belief in God and what he feels is right.I also don't think that pointing out false teachers and corruption is unchristian either it's Bob being honest and trying to do the right thing,I know that I want to know. This is just my opinion that you don't have to take any notice of.God Bless,Krista.

Bob Mitchell; We are all aware of the reason for your decision to leave Revelation TV. There is nothing within and as the context of your explanation that gives me any reason to doubt what you have to say is incorrect. However, does the circumstance of your good friend Jacob being asked to leave Revelation TV have anything at all to do with your own decision to leave Revelation T.V? Alternatively, it is just a coincidence that he was asked to leave, and then you left shortly afterwards, if that is indeed the correct sequence of events, or it is vice versa, you decided to leave and then he left after you, or was removed. The reason for my asking this is that there are times when we may feel a championship with someone even though that particular individual may have faults that we are prepared to overlook just for the sake of that friendship. There may be times that we will come to the defence of our friend, even though that person may not be correct of necessity be correct all of the time, or even some of the time. We are so blinded by the friendship we have with that person even to the point of overlooking what we may believe is right ourselves and then act in accordance with that indifference. I know that sounds rather complicated, but that is the clearest way that I can think of to put into words something that has been bothering me with reference to that article, for the use of a better word. Accordingly, we really cannot trust the instability and unreliably of human nature, as there is only one rock that we can stand on, the Lord Jesus Christ. People will let you down almost every time. I am not speaking out of unreasonable fear, or even paranoia, but only of what I believe to be correct relative to the Lord. Our friend Colin spoke pearls of wisdom when he wrote, quote: However, along with some other similar incidents afterwards I soon learnt not to trust anyone. Then about 11 years ago I put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and NOT man. How can or do I trust Him? By READING,BELIEVING AND STUDYING HIS WORD! End of quote The bottom line out of all of this is that if Jacob has any issues at all with anyone it really does have very little to do with us and everything to do with the person(s) he has the issues with, and more importantly the Lord. Accordingly, the wisest thing to do in the future is nothing at all when it comes to airing Jacob Psarch's dirty linen on your BlogSpot, as there is really no one who wants to know. We all have enough difficulties ourselves as we pass through life.

Dear anonymous. First I do not do things simply because someone is my friend. I try do do what is right regardless of my relationship so I take offence at your suggestion however innocently put.
Second Jacob was not asked to leave REVELATION TV. So you are again mistaken. Jacob wrote an extremely sensitive and almost fatherly letter to Revelation tv suggesting they take a look again at some of the teachers they have on the station. He evn suggested the seting up of a kind of committee who would look at this but without including him on it.

He praised Revelation tv for the work they do and for their support of Israel but added that he felt very uncomfortable appearing on a regular basis on the same station as teachers who tell the most unscriptural messages: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDYyym5tD20
His plea was met with a refusal to remove or even discuss this issue. So he was left with no other option but to leave as he values the integrity of hs ministry and cannot give the idea that he condones their choice. I say this because he would never have been permitted to voice his concerns live on air.
When I knew this was his course and what their reply had been I had to also consider where I stood.
To stay and never be allowed to say on air anything about this sad affair would give many the immpression I was falling in line with their decision to keep Du Plantis in preference to Jacob. Even though his leaving brought an avalanche of phone calls and e-mails pleading with Revelation to reconsider and get rid of Du Plantis (as far as I am aware not one e-mail ever received a reply).

I did know that the matter was discussed in the rev tv e-mails between the management and some presenters. Also it became clear some family members loved having du Plantis on the station.

So after much thought and prayer I wrote as loving an e-mail as I could telling them we were leaving with very heavy hearts.

I received two e-mails from Management. One kind and one telling me I had left because Jacob had "bullied" me which actually was total nonsense.

God hates a mixture. You cannot have it especially on a christian station. I sends out a confusing message.

I hope this helps make a clearer picture for you. I realise picking up bits of information and dis information can be confusing but this is what happened.

I would just like to agree with what Bob has said, Jacob Prasch in person comes across very differently to how he does in print. I often disagree vehemently with the tone he uses in print, and I do believe that that is aproblem, but I can vouch that in person he is both loving and humble (openly constantly confessing his own inadequacies), and certainly a man who loves both the Lord and the body of Christ and cares DEEPLY for the damage being done to said body today by those who propogate false doctrine and practice.

As to the comment about Barry Smith and Jacobs opinion of him - Jacob and Barry were very close friends, and while Jacob disagreed with much of what Barry got into (particularly Y2K stuff)Jacob praises him much for "preaching the Gospel of the kingdom" and the many many souls saved through that.

God bless.

Some interesting discussion here.

If Jacob is aware of his own inadequacies, why does he not have someone vet his writings before they are published? And why do his friends like Bob not insist on this?

But I commend Jacob and Bob for taking a stand against Revelation TVs promotion of heretics like Duplantis.
